"[Manpupuner] - one of the undoubted miracles of Ural nature. Seven 30-meter rock figures of weathering are raised above the flat mountain plateau. Some of " [bolvanov]" they are enlarged upwards, making its apexes practically inaccessible."
These rock formations, known as Manpupuner, rise starkly from the flat plain. No one is sure exactly how they were formed, or why there are only seven.
This area of the Ural Mountains in Russia is very remote, and these rock wonders--although well known in Russia--are still rarely visited by westerners.
